I usually tell people I'm gay because that's somehow more understandable than trying to explain being asexual... but I am, in fact, asexual demiromantic. Don't let my occasional horny posting fool you, that applies to fictional characters/scenarios only because those aren't real. So they don't count.It took me so long to realise I'm asexual purely because I find it easy to be attracted to fictional characters, who mostly happen to be men-shaped, so I always assumed that must also be the case in general and for years I went ahead and disregarded the fact that the mere thought of actually being physically intimate with someone made me quite uncomfortable in most scenarios.
